Hi & Welcome!
My name is Jessica and I’m a professional pet blogger.
Eight years ago I started a little online journal.
Like most of you, I started my blog as a way to share stories and pictures of life with my pets (Miniature Dachshunds).
As blogs began to grow in popularity, I realized it was possible to make a few dollars and perhaps pay for my dog’s treats and food.
Fast forward to today and I am a full-time pet blogger.
Although I’m not rich (yet), I make as much as I did working at my government job and I can pay my bills.

Do You Want to Make Money Blogging?
I can help!
There were no resources back when I started blogging.
Now, there are plenty of resources out there. But all of the information can be overwhelming.
At best, you’re left pouring through resource after resource trying to make sense of how it works and how, and if, it applies to the pet niche.
I’ve spent over 8 years learning by trial and error, learning from online courses and eBooks, and earning a graduate degree from one of the most cutting-edge digital communication programs in the country, and I’m ready to share all of that with you.
In my previous career, I worked in environmental science and education. I earned a training certificate for Interpretative Rangers – those nice folks at parks that teach you complicated biological and geological science in plain English – and, after my final interpretive talk, the instructors looked at me and said they were pretty sure I could teach physics to a 3rd grader.
To me, that was one of the highest compliments they could have given me. I pride myself in being able to communicate the complicated in simple terms without “dumbing it down” or talking down to people. I guess you could kind of say it’s a passion of mine.

About Niche Blog Biz
I’ve been helping other bloggers get started and grow their traffic for several years now so I thought I should start documenting my advice and answers on a blog so Niche Blog Biz was born.
With a blog, I can help many people at once and for years to come.
I’m also working on my first eBook – Basic In-Content SEO (Explained in Plain English) – which will be available on this website soon.
My future plans are to create more eBooks and courses to help other pet lovers to get paid for doing what they love – helping other pet parents and spending more time with their friends and family, two and four-legged alike!
A Little More About Me
I’ve always been an animal lover. I grew up on an urban farm “before it was cool” where my family raised and showed rabbits, bred hamsters, rescued several cats, had a dog and a pet chicken that lived in the house.
My blog YouDidWhatWithYourWeiner.com – an active and travel lifestyle blog featuring my miniature Dachshunds and winner of Best Dog Blog in the BlogPaws Nose-to-Nose Awards (twice) – inspired me to finally embrace my true calling and change my life.
In 2012, after blogging for two years, I quit my “cushy” government job to go back to school and earn my Master’s in Digital Communication from the University of Washington’s Communication Leadership Program.
I combined my love for animals, passion for communication, and blogging skills to found PetTalk Media, a digital platform that does everything from helping pet-related businesses rock social media to making connections with local pet communities.
I now make a full-time living through my blog, by consulting with pet-related companies or companies with pet products, and by mentoring and coaching other aspiring professional niche bloggers.
In my spare time I organize a large, local Dachshund club – the Adventureweiner Club of Seattle – and hike, camp, and travel with my hubby and dog as much as I can… which is way more now that I work for myself and can set my own schedule.
If you want to see if I’m the right person to help you achieve your blogging goals, contact me to set up a complimentary 20-minute call. I am proud of my ability to tell if we will be a good match right away and won’t waste your time if we aren’t.
